COVID Vaccine Coverage

COVID vaccines remain covered as preventive, at 100% with no member copay, under all of the Health Trust plans.
On Friday, September 12, Gov. Janet Mills issued an order that allows all health care professionals, including pharmacists, in the state to administer the COVID-19 vaccine to all Mainers without a prescription. The Maine CDC recommends all children ages 6 – 23 months and all adults be vaccinated, and that kids between the ages of 2 and 18 be vaccinated if they have certain risk factors, like if they or someone in their home is at a high risk of severe COVID-19 or if they’ve never been vaccinated.
Preventive vaccine coverage is based on recommendations from the federal Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, and there have been no changes to their other recommendations to date.
