Conduent Cybersecurity Incident

You may have received a letter in the mail recently from Conduent, Inc. regarding a cybersecurity incident. Conduent is a large vendor utilized by Elevance Health (Anthem's parent company) and many other organizations in the insurance industry to provide printing and mailing services.
Conduent has engaged additional resources and a well-known cyber security firm to investigate the incident and its impacts. They state that the following data may have been accessed: first and last name, date of birth, health insurance ID number, patient ID number (assigned by providers), treatment cost, group policy number, and in some cases Social Security numbers. Please note that not all data elements were impacted for all individuals.

Note that Conduent is a subcontractor hired by Anthem, and we have no direct relationship with the organization or additional information to provide beyond what is contained in the letters. No Anthem and MMEHT systems were impacted by this incident.
