It’s Time to Talk 1095-Cs!!!
The Health Trust, in conjunction with the Maine Municipal Association, will be holding two workshops in January and February, to provide employers with a “refresher course” on the Affordable Care Act’s reporting requirements.
There were a number of efforts made in 2017 to repeal and/or replace the Affordable Care Act – and in fact, some parts of it have been eliminated, with the passage of the recent tax reform bill. But everybody’s favorite requirement – the 1095-C reporting – is still intact. Though the deadline to provide the forms to employees has been extended to March 2 for this year, why not get the forms done early?
In this workshop, we’ll walk you through the Form 1095-C and 1094-C reporting requirements for large employers. We’ll also spend a few minutes talking about how the IRS is reaching out to those employers that may be subject to a penalty, based on their 2015 filing.
Just a reminder: The Form 1095-C and 1094-C reporting requirements, and the employer shared responsibility provisions, only apply to Applicable Large Employers – those with 50 or more full-time / full-time equivalent employees. As a result, these workshops are probably best suited to large employers.
Each workshop will include time for questions and answers. Space is limited, so sign up soon!
