Wellness Works Health Education Staff . . .

Anne Charles, Health Promotion Manager

Anne has been with the MMEHT since the spring of 2000. She was initially hired as a Health Promotion Coordinator and taught a wide variety of classes ranging from Nutrition to Women's Health. She was promoted to the position of Health Promotion Manager in the Fall of 2006 where she is responsible for the facilitation of Wellness Incentive Grants and Employee Assistance Program Grants, recruitment of new Wellness groups and special projects. Anne has a degree in Community Health Education from the University of Maine at Farmington.

Abigail (Ring) DiPasquale, CHES, Health Promotion Coordinator

Abigail graduated from the University of Maine - Orono with a B.S. in Child Development and Family Relations. Her interest in women’s health issues led her to pursue a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from Southern Connecticut State University, where she also became a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES). During her time at SCSU she focused her energies toward community health education, with a special emphasis on minority populations and lifelong health education. Following completion of her graduate work, Abby decided to move back to her home state of Maine and began working in the public health field, with a particular emphasis on nutrition, women’s health, and tobacco related initiatives. Abby continues to research and explore emerging topics in public health and workplace wellness and hopes to bring her excitement for these topics to communities throughout Maine as a Health Promotion Coordinator for Maine Municipal Employees Health Trust.

Danielle Yale, Health Promotion Coordinator

Danielle Yale is the newest addition to the Wellness Works staff. Danielle is originally from Connecticut, and graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Fitness Management. Danielle has held positions as a Corporate Fitness Director in Connecticut and Maryland. During that time, she created many incentive, motivational and wellness type programs. While at MMA, Danielle will be taking some of her past programs and revising them to meet the needs of Health Trust participants. She also plans to develop several new programs focusing on the exercise component of wellness.
