As
a self-insured health
insurance trust, the
Health Trust knows the
value of teaching our
members to live healthy
lifestyles. We also
realize that sometimes
it’s
even more important
to help employees understand
where they are right
now, when it comes to
wellness and personal
health.
That’s
why the Health Trust,
in conjunction with
several vendors throughout
the state, offers its
members the ability
to take advantage of
a free Personal Wellness
Profile screening. This
screening (called the
PWP) is available at
the worksite, at no
charge to employees,
retirees, and their
spouses and adult dependents
covered by a Health
Trust health insurance
plan. A minimum of 10
participants is required
in order to offer the
screening at any worksite.
The
PWP is a great way to
measure your level of
fitness and healthy
habits. You will start
by completing a 10-page
questionnaire about
your health and lifestyle
habits. At the screening
itself, we will collect
the questionnaire and
take blood pressure,
HDL cholesterol, and
total cholesterol measurements.
You will then take a
fitness test that measures
your aerobic fitness,
muscular strength, muscular
flexibility, and lean
muscle tissue and body
fat. The entire screening
takes about 30 minutes.
Then, about two to three
weeks later, you will
have the opportunity
to meet with the Health
Trust’s
health educators, to
discuss your results
and set goals for any
health behavior changes
you would like to make.
If
you work for an employer
that offers Health Trust
health insurance to
its employees, and you
are interested in hosting
the Personal Wellness
Profile screenings at
your workplace, please

arrange a date. You
