are a fully funded,
self-insured
trust offering a variety
of benefit plans to
participating
employers and their
employees.
The
Health Trust offers five
different health insurance
plans for active employees.
Effective January 1, 2008, these plans are as follows: one Indemnity plan (Indemnity Choice); three Point of Service plans (Traditional POS, Comprehensive POS, and POS-B); and one PPO plan (PPO Value).
Some employers may choose to offer employees the choice between a Point of Service plan and an Indemnity plan. This is called the Dual Option program. Under the Dual Option program, an employee may choose between the Traditional Point of Service plan and the Indemnity Choice plan; or between the Comprehensive Point of Service plan and the Indemnity Choice plan. The POS-B and PPO Value plans are stand-alone plans, not offered in conjunction with any other plan.
We
also offer a dental
plan;
a short-term
disability (Income Protection) plan;
a Long
Term Disability plan; and basic,
supplemental, and dependent
life insurance plans.
